In addition to FOUR championships – view the individual team photos and stories for the full scoop on our champs! – we are proud of the victories won in Pittsburgh as well as the outstanding efforts of other tournament competitors.

In the 412:

  • South 0405G Elite defeated Beadling Red in a hard-fought 4-3 battle. Way to work, ladies!

At tourneys on the road:

  • This past weekend, four Century girls’ teams competed at WAGS, one of the top girls’ events on the east coast. All four earned finalist spots in the event. The South 0304G Elite 11 ladies finished with 2 wins, 1 tie, and 1 loss in their first ever tournament together. South 0203G Elite went 2-1-1 as well. The South 0102G Elite girls went 3-1, and the 0001G Pre-academy team went 3-1, losing in PKs in the top flight. Said coach Guess, “[It was a] great showing for our four girls teams at WAGS.”
  • South 0203B Elite came up one short at the YMS cup, but they put forth a fantastic effort this weekend. The team has represented well in the last three Premier Elite tournaments as top-flight finalists each time. They are becoming a force to be reckoned with in Region 1 U.S. Youth Soccer. Way to go boys!
  • South 0304B Elite earned 3 big wins to earn a spot in the finals at the SAC tournament in Columbia, Maryland. After easily sweeping their earlier games, the boys met their match in the finals when they played a very skilled Joga FC team from Virginia and lost 3-1. The boys have returned home with renewed determination and continue to work hard!
